International Tiger Day at Mundle Public School Nagpur

Avril Khambatta Thakur, President Himalayan Explores organized International Tiger Day on 29th July 2016, at Mundle Public school, Wardha Road Nagpur, the students of the whole school were present in the recreation hall, Avril and Dr. Vinod Thakur addressed the students and the faculty on various issues concerning the Tiger Conservation, its importance in the ecology and the economy. Himalayan Explorers representative gave a power point presentation on the activities being carried out by the NGO in the field of wild life conservation. Foreign students from China, Austria and England, who represented Himalayan Explorers, were present and actively participated in the seminar. The students took a wow to abstain from the single use plastic. Himalayan Explorers distributed stickers to all the students with the message that my home is plastic free.  The principal of the school (who worked for 32 years in North East in Akelya Vidhyalaya), gifted a tiger portrait, drawn by one of the teacher’s to Avril Khambatta Thakur as a token of remembrance.

Lehendra Gedam and Anshul Nagpure of Himalayan Explorers worked hard to make the event a success.
