Himalayan Explorers initiatives in the wildlife corridor

Himalayan Explorers is working constantly towards the development of a state wild life corridor, National wild life corridor which may be further developed into an International wild life corridor, to begin with the development of a wild life corridor connecting India with the South East Asian Countries, so as to prevent the shrinking gene pool of the Bengal Tigers.

To achieve this Himalayan Explorers is carrying on plantation and educating the villages falling in the corridor about the importance of the wild life corridor. Himalayan Explorers is working in the villages will fall in the corridor of TATR, Umred Karandla Wild Life Sanctuary, and Bor Tiger Reserve by distributing goats to the inhabitants under below poverty line, so as to give them a source of livelihood so that they are not solely dependent on the forest for their livelihood. HimalayanExplorers volunteers provide regular free veterinary back up to see the upkeep of the livestock. Himalayan Explorers carries out tree plantation along with these villagers so that they get fodder for their livestock. Himalayan Explorers discourages the villagers from sending their animals into the forest for grazing and encourages stall feeding, for quicker weight gains.
