                    2) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> organized the <\/span>First <\/span>Trans Himalayan <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Save the Yak<\/span>\u201d<\/span> Motoring Expedition<\/span><\/span>-2011<\/span>, with Mahindra Adventure<\/span>,<\/span> for which <\/span><\/span>Avril<\/span> Khambatta Thakur<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> (President Himalayan Explorers)<\/span> received the Prestigious Mahindra Adventure Award.<\/span> The event was flagged-off from the Mahindra <\/span>Towers <\/span>Kandivili<\/span> in the hands of Mr. <\/span>Vivek<\/span> Nayyar<\/span> (Senior Vice President, marketing) M&M on 28<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> of March 2011, for M&M was the vehicle partner wherein they provided the team of 09 members with <\/span>02 Mahindra <\/span>scorpio<\/span> Getaway 4×4 and one <\/span>scorpio<\/span> 4×4. The team reached Nagpur on 30<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> of March 2011 and further flagged-off from zero mile stone Nagpur on 1<\/span>st<\/span><\/span> May 2011 to mark the Maharashtra Day in the hands of Sh. <\/span>Shivaji<\/span> Rao<\/span> Moghe<\/span>, the then social justice minister Maharashtra and guardian minister Nagpur.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    The 07 <\/span>member\u2019s<\/span> team <\/span>comprised of <\/span>1) Vinod Laxminarayan Thakur,<\/span> 2) Sharukh Cassad, 3) Shiraz <\/span>Doongajee<\/span>, 4) <\/span>Yohan<\/span> Doongajee<\/span>, 5) <\/span>Ashish<\/span> Limbanna<\/span>, 6) <\/span>Kewnedra<\/span> Talwar<\/span> and 7) Ahmad <\/span>Punjuwani<\/span>. <\/span>The team members drove from Mumbai to <\/span>Kibithu<\/span> in Arunachal Pradesh from where the Indian Himalayas begins. <\/span>Kibithu<\/span> is supposed to be the east of North East, 3 degree east of Port Blair and east of Dhaka. From here again the event was flagged- off by colonel Bali of 20 Sikh Regiment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    The expedition drove through the entire state of Arunachal, (even ferrying the vehicles through the Brahmaputra to reach <\/span>Pasighat<\/span>), Bhutan, Sikkim, Nepal (during Nepal <\/span>Bandh<\/span>), Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir<\/span>, covering all the three sub-sectors of Laddakh, travelling through all the passes and returned back to Nagpur via Srinagar, Jammu on 6<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> June 2011.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    This was the first ever motoring expedition to travel through the entire Himalayas in one go. The event was meticulously planned by <\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> on paper maps, because those days\u2019 Google maps and other apps were not available. Avril was the one who corresponded with M&M and roped them as Vehicle partner. There after the team members reached <\/span>Kandivili<\/span> where they were given a warm welcome.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    3) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> o<\/span>rganized the Royal Enfield \u201c<\/span><\/span>Save the Tiger<\/span>\u201d Rally on 1<\/span>st<\/span><\/span> May-2012<\/span> from Kasturchand Park to Pench Tiger Reserve Madhya Pradesh and back. <\/span>The event was Flagged-off by <\/span><\/span>Sh. <\/span>Shivaji<\/span> Rao<\/span> Moghe<\/span>, the then Social Justice <\/span>Minister <\/span>of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister Nagpur<\/span><\/span>. The event was flagged-in by the t<\/span>hen Principal Chief <\/span>Conservator<\/span> of Forest (Maharashtra). <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> liaised with \u2018The <\/span>Hitvada<\/span>\u2019 and roped <\/span>them as media partner. \u2018The <\/span>Hitavada<\/span>\u2019 gave good coverage to the event <\/span>along with<\/span> the <\/span>promotional material such as banners, stickers and official photographer to cover the event.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    4) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> o<\/span>rganized the first Royal Enfield Bike Rally in Chhattisgarh to celebrate the International Tiger Day and spread the awareness about the Tiger Conservation and its importance in the Ecology and Economy.\u00a0 The ride was from <\/span>Bhilai<\/span> to <\/span>Barnawapara<\/span> wild life sanctuary and back. <\/span>The event was flagged-off in the hands of <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> (President Himalayan Explorers). 60 Royal Enfield riders and pillion riders participated in the ride. The participants were addressed by <\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> <\/span>about the importance of Tiger in the ecology and economy of the nation. <\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> <\/span>rode along with the participants and inspired the riders all throughout the run. The event was given good media coverage by both print and the electronic media. Here <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> picked up a good number of riders from Chhattisgarh with Satyendra Sahu as a leader.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    5) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>under the guidance of <\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> o<\/span>rganized the first Motoring Expedition to the Highest Observation post of the world<\/span> (I<\/span>ndo-<\/span>T<\/span>ibetan <\/span>B<\/span>order <\/span>P<\/span>olice<\/span>)<\/span> \u201c<\/span>Dorzila<\/span>\u201d (18750\u2019) in 2007. <\/span>The event was Flagged-off in the hands of K. <\/span>Sudarshanji<\/span>, the then <\/span>Sarsanghchalak<\/span> from Nagpur. It was received and flagged-off at <\/span>Rangpo<\/span> by the Governor of Sikkim. <\/span>The expedition was led by <\/span><\/span>Dr. Vinod Laxminarayan Thakur<\/span>, Commandant\/Vet, ITBP, Central Frontier Bhopal, the then <\/span>Asstt<\/span>. Comdt<\/span>.\/<\/span>Vet, 11<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> BNITBP. All the logistics support from <\/span>Rangpo<\/span> to <\/span>Rangpo<\/span> was provided by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The Sikkim Taxi union also participated in the expedition from <\/span>Rangpo<\/span> to <\/span>Nathu<\/span>-la (14202\u2019) and back. The team was given a warm welcome at M.G. Road <\/span>Gangtok<\/span>, by the department of Tourism Sikkim.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    7) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> organized the first Expedition (<\/span>Kandivili<\/span> to Karakoram) in the Sub Sector North in Laddakh to celebrate the 54<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> Raising Day of the INDO-TIBETAN-BORDER-POLICE-FORCE. <\/span>The event was flagged-off by Sh. Krishna <\/span>Chowdhry<\/span> (IPS), th<\/span>e then Director General of I<\/span>ndo-<\/span>T<\/span>ibetan-<\/span>B<\/span>order <\/span>P<\/span>olice<\/span> on 24<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> October-2015, from 39<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> Bn.<\/span> I<\/span>ndo-<\/span>T<\/span>ibetan-<\/span>B<\/span>order <\/span>P<\/span>olice, NOIDA.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    A team of 15 members under the leadership of <\/span>Avri<\/span>l Khambatta Thakur<\/span><\/span> was flagged of from Mahindra Towers <\/span>Kandivili<\/span> in the hands of Mr. <\/span>Bijoy<\/span> Kumar Chief of Mahindra Adventure on 20<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> of <\/span>October 2015, reached NOIDA on 23<\/span><\/span>rd<\/span><\/span> October 2015 and flagged off for Karakoram on 24<\/span>th<\/span><\/span> October 2015.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    8) <\/span>Himalayan Explores<\/span> under the guidance of <\/span><\/span>Avri<\/span>l Khambatta Thakur<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> organized mass tree plantation drive in the c<\/span>amps of security forces in the <\/span>N<\/span>axal<\/span> dominated <\/span>Chhatisgarh<\/span> at <\/span>Aundhi<\/span>, <\/span>Domikala<\/span>, <\/span>Sitagaon<\/span>, <\/span>Pallemadi<\/span>, <\/span>Chilhati<\/span>, <\/span>Churia<\/span>, <\/span>Boart<\/span>alao<\/span>, <\/span>Kanhargaon<\/span> and <\/span>Dongargarh<\/span> to mark the World Environment Day. The plantation drive started on 5<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> June 2017 which continued for three days, wherein 1001 saplings of Banyan, Pipal, Neem, <\/span>Jamun<\/span>, Guava and Mangos were planted. 100%\u00a0 saplings have survived and grown into full trees, for which <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> had been appreciated by Mr. Ashok <\/span>Negi<\/span> (PMG), the then Dy. Inspector General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police <\/span>, Anti <\/span>Naxal<\/span> Operations.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    9) <\/span>Himalayan Explores<\/span> organized plantation at the office of the Dy. Inspector General ITBP, Anti-<\/span>Naxal<\/span>-Operations at <\/span>Rajnandgaon<\/span> in the hands of Sh. <\/span>Madhusudan<\/span> Yadav<\/span> (Mayor <\/span>Rajnandgaon<\/span>) and other dignitaries.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    10) <\/span>Himalayan Explores<\/span> organized <\/span>International Tiger Day<\/span> on 29<\/span>th<\/span><\/span> July 2018, at <\/span>Indo-Tibetan Border Police, <\/span>A<\/span>cademy <\/span>Mussoorie<\/span>, wherein <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> invited the guest speakers from Wild Life Institute of India and Uttarakhand forest departmen<\/span>t, to propagate the message of <\/span><\/span>T<\/span>iger<\/span><\/span> C<\/span>onservation<\/span><\/span> among the ITBP<\/span>\u2019<\/span> ians<\/span> and head of most of the schools in Dehradun and <\/span>Mussoorie<\/span>, so as the message is passed on to the youths. <\/span>For this <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> <\/span>had been<\/span> appreciated<\/span> by Mr. P.S. <\/span>Papta<\/span>, the then Inspector General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Director Indo-Tibetan Border Police Academy.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    11) <\/span>Himalayan Explores<\/span> organized<\/span> Republic Day Ride-2020 with the support of R\u2019BEL Dehradun and <\/span>the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. <\/span>The event was flagged off <\/span>at Dehradun in the hands of Mr. <\/span>Nilabh<\/span> Kishore<\/span> (IPS), Inspector General Northern Frontier and was flagged-in at <\/span>Mussoorie<\/span> in the hands of Mr. <\/span>P.S.Papta<\/span>, Inspector General ITBP Academy <\/span>Mussoorie<\/span>.<\/span> The event was a grand success where in<\/span><\/span> 76 Royal Enfield bikes with 101 riders participated.<\/span> The event was led by <\/span><\/span>Dr. Vinod Laxminaray<\/span>a<\/span>n Thakur, <\/span><\/span>Dy. Commandant\/Vet, SHQ \/DDN.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    12) <\/span>Himalayan Explorers<\/span> organized a Royal Enfield Ride on 24<\/span>th<\/span><\/span> October 2020 to mark the celebration of ITBP Raising Day.\u00a0 The event was flagged off at Dehradun in the hands of Mr. <\/span>Nilabh<\/span> Kishore<\/span> (IPS), Inspector General Northern Frontier. Keeping in mind Corona Epidemic Himalayan Explorers restricted the participation to 25 Royal Enfield Bikes.<\/span> The event was led by <\/span><\/span>Dr. Vinod <\/span>Laxminarayn<\/span> Thakur<\/span><\/span>, Commandant\/Vet, SHQ \/DDN.<\/span> <\/span>Avril<\/span> limited the participation to the minimum keeping in view of the COVID-19 norms.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

                    13) <\/span>Himalayan Explores organized<\/span> Republic Day Ride-2021 with the support of R\u2019BEL Dehradun and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. <\/span>In this event <\/span><\/span>Avril Khambatta Thakur<\/span> tried to bring 04 other Royal Enfield bikers group under one umbrella. <\/span>The event was flagged off at Dehradun in the hands of Mr. Ashok <\/span>Negi<\/span>, Dy. Inspector General Northern Frontier and was flagged-in at ITBP water wing <\/span>Shivpuri<\/span>, <\/span>Rishikesh<\/span> in the hands of <\/span><\/span>Dr. Vinod <\/span>Laxminarayn<\/span> Thakur,<\/span><\/span> Commandant\/Vet, SHQ \/DDN. . The event was a grand success where in<\/span> 150 Royal Enfield bikes with 175 riders and pillion riders participated<\/span>. This is one of the largest <\/span>gatherings<\/span> of Royal Enfield bikes in an event in the state of Uttarakhand.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>
